Just got back from [livejournal.com profile] chimera452's place an hour or so ago; been there for the last two afternoons to make sure one of her daughters got lunch and had someone home when they got back from school (yesterday) and looking after her while she recovers (today). I was honestly a bit nervous about the whole undertaking -- I've had almost no experience caring for anyone when they're ill -- but she was still alive and in one piece at the end of the day, so I suppose I didn't do too badly.

Later in the afternoon, [livejournal.com profile] 7_league_boots stopped by and between the two of us we worked out a schedule for coming over in the afternoons next week: I'll take the early part of the shift, from noon-2:30 pm, then [livejournal.com profile] 7_league_boots will take over until 3:45 or so when [livejournal.com profile] chimera452's oldest daughter gets home from school. If I get more Marvel Masterworks books to do early next week, things might get a bit frantic, but I'm pretty sure I can handle it. The worst part: how inadequate I feel when it comes to cooking! [livejournal.com profile] 7_league_boots evidently makes all sorts of tasty dishes for the daughters, whereas I feel challenged even boiling water, lol, especially in a strange kitchen.

After [livejournal.com profile] chimera452's husband got home today, [livejournal.com profile] 7_league_boots was kind enough to give me a ride to the local grocery store and then home, which enabled me to pick up a bunch of stuff necessary for tomorrow's Full Moon ritual. What I forgot: the paper plates and plastic cutlery. D'oh. Not to mention fresh cat litter. A quick trip out to the store tomorrow should fix that.

Note to self: get more bus tickets, because next week I'll be needing them.
