... but not a whole lot else.

Saturday night, the (usually) weekly AD&D campaign I'm involved in was quite interesting and amusing. Just hanging around with people you feel comfortable with (and I've been gaming with these people for must be going on 3 or 4 years) can be a tremendous balm for the spirit.

Today was a complete washout. I got up, read the paper with George, looked at the work waiting for me on the G4, and turned right around and slunk back into bed. From 5 pm to 10 pm I collapsed into solid unconsciousness -- my way of taking a break when the pain of living gets too wearing ("the grinding of time and sensation"). George has been very good about it, considering that my failure of will means another delay for a $500 cheque we really need. One good thing: it gave me a chance to lie down with Micawber, who came to tread the brown blanket I'd pulled over myself (his favorite thing to sleep on in the whole world) and sleep against my leg. Who knows how many more chances I'll have to enjoy that kind of time with him?

Monday night I go back to Ipsos-Reid for another shift. I barely got through the one on Friday, but by literally taking it second-to-second was able to make it. I'll have to see how the next one goes.

Here's a really good link that I'd bookmarked ages ago and just came across again today:

http://www.metanoia.org/suicide/

"Suicide: Read This First" -- a few basic things that suicidal people should keep in mind. One of the best ones: "People often turn to suicide because they are seeking relief from pain. Remember that relief is a feeling. And you have to be alive to feel it. You will not feel the relief you so desperately seek, if you are dead."

Off to go on living...

Actually, the link I thought has rules only has a quick start guide...

However, we could just wing it :D

We're good at that *Grins*

We could do it via email if that's better on you, less stress for immediate response....

oohohohoh, and maybe we could put it in the Best of All Possible Worlds realm that you...(we)... created :D

That would be fun, aaaaaaaaand a way to spark both of our creativities :D

Ya!
