Today is kind of a free-form day. I plan to head out at about 1 pm to do some grocery shopping and pick up a parcel at the post office, and later on I want to do some HB. But other than that, not a lot is happening.

I might pick up meatloaf fixings again, since it went over so well last time. Alternatively, sirloin tip roasts are on sale at FoodFare, and I do like a good sirloin tip roast.

Just cleaned out the refrigerator, and I'm about to have a bowl of oatmeal. Life. How exciting.

Two threads on Yahoo!Answers that are sterling examples of the statement in my icon.

First up:

For the Christians or other religions out there, do you believe that humans evolved from apes?

Because personally I don't come from no monkey, no animal. I think humans evolved from humans. How in the hell did we evolve from apes? I don't care what evidence people came up with saying they found skulls that were apelike because there have to be other animals out there that share some physical traits between each other and they don't have to be related or have to evolve from one another.

Most of the answers would make Baby Jesus weep.

Second up:

Why all of the gays in the religion section ???

Gays SCREAM that they want to be able to live their lives the way they want to but then try to force their lifestyle on people that want nothing to do with them.
Why can't religious people have the RIGHT to live their life without harrassment from queers ?

The answers for this one aren't quite the parade of idiocy that the previous question had to offer, but I think the question itself more than makes up for that.

I ended up going to FoodFare, where I did NOT get the sirloin tip roast. The butcher was willing to give me lean ground beef for the same price as regular (since they were all out of regular), and I took him up on his offer.

After much grocery shopping, I went to the corner of Corydon Avenue and Lilac Street to wait for a bus to take me up to the Pharma Plus with my heavy shopping bags. That's where I saw the handwritten poster featured in today's Project 365 shot. A tragedy writ small...

At Pharma Plus I was pleased to discover that the pharmacy was willing to fax my newly-completed Pharmacare form, which saves me both a stamp and the delay inherent in mailing it. I also found a bound notebook that I'm going to use for recipes AND Folger's Classic Roast coffee on sale for $4.77 per 1 kg container (I bought three). The package that was waiting for me at the post office turned out to be copies of the HB issue where another colorist subbed for me on the second half of the book. Amazingly, they actually managed to copy my style quite seamlessly.

Dinner in T minus 10 minutes or thereabouts.

Meatloaf, mixed vegetables, and baked potatoes with sour cream and margerine.

Mmmm-MM!

EDITED TO ADD: And it was amazing.
