In Which All Becomes Clear

Guess what came this morning?

... yes, my goddamned period. Which goes a very long way toward explaining my insane mood swings and the irresistable urge to self-injure.

On the other hand, now that it's here I'm feeling an upswing in energy and overall levels of hope. I think I'll even start doing my step exercises again this evening.

The DBT session this afternoon was... meh. Three new groups members, so we started with going over the basic contracts and goals of the therapy program.

Gotta run downstairs and meet Corey to give him his present AND a present he ordered for someone else, through me, via eBay.

ETA: And look at what Corey got me! It will go very well with the Bast statue I just bought for my altar. :-)

ETA II: There's a story that goes with this oil diffuser... apparently Corey bought it for me 3 or 4 years ago from Quagga Stray Cat Rescue, about the time he was volunteering with Quagga after rescuing a couple of cats from a rail yard where he was doing security. In the general confusion of life it got mislaid, only to surface again this past summer when his parents packed up their house to move. So, I got it this year. Bonus!

The oil diffuser is gorgeous. And talk about freaky, Adara's period and mine both started yesterday, too. Now I've heard that women who are around each other a lot everyday often have their periods sync up, so that would explain Adara and I, but how does it explain you and Eastpath? ;-)
