WONDERFUL Full Moon ritual last night... the only working of the evening was Kathy's belly blessing -- a reworking of a Silver Ravenwolf rite -- and it went marvelously well. She's due in two weeks, and hopes to have a Wiccaning shortly after the baby's birth to which we'll all be invited, "we" being ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)

I left the altar mostly set up last night since I wanted to take some photos of it with the sunshine on it this afternoon as well as get some detailed shots of the statuary. One of the things we did last night was draw a large pentacle on the floor of my living room with masking tape (about 80" in diameter), and when I went into the living room today I could still feel some trace energy humming through the structure. On impulse I stripped off my clothing and lay down within the shape, discovering that it was almost the perfect size to match my own body with feet, hands, and head oriented to the points of the pentacle. What a lovely feeling, to lie there in the sunlight with my eyes closed and absorb the warm humming energy! I felt that I could have relaxed there and meditated for quite some time, but since I had work to do I confined my enjoyment to about five minutes of quiet appreciation.
Drawing that type of pentacle on the floor is definitely something I want to try again in other ritual contexts, or perhaps simply for the purposes of devotion and meditation... that, or buy a round tablecloth of approximately the right dimensions and draw a pentacle on it with fabric paint, which would allow me to set it up and take it down with ease. I'll have to askcockatiel_art and a couple of other Wiccans of my acquaintence if they'd like to go in together on tablecloths and fabric paint and hold a "craft night" where we make up a couple or a few of these "portable pentacles" for members of the group.

It has been a crazy few weeks with my grandmother being quite sick (although she seems to be on the mend now). This has occupied all of my time and energy for the last few weeks, especially these last few days. I cancelled or just plain forgot several things I was supposed to do this week. :(
Please forward my love and blessings to Kathy for me. I'm not sure if I'll see her again before she delivers.
Depending on when you get together I would love to get in on a "craft night". I haven't done a radical craft project in ages!
