For those of you wanting to keep up with what's happening on InsaneJournal, here's a Twitter about it:

http://twitter.com//insanejournal

Apparently it was a problem with the company hosting the databases and the problem is being solved. All data is intact, it's just going to take a while to get everything up and running again.

*is relieved*

I've created a community over on InsaneJournal to help people find their former LJ Friends:

http://asylums.insanejournal.com/find_lj_friends/

It's mostly intended for those who left LiveJournal in haste and deleted their journals, thus losing their Friends lists. We'll see if it turns out to be useful for folks.

He really is.

No, seriously... he IS.

EDITED TO ADD: Here's a translation from Russian to English by a Russian:

It's appallingly stupid.

You do NOT get into a pissing contest with your paid customers and content generators. Yet this is exactly what Mr. Nosik seems to want to do with LiveJournal users.

For me, it's the last straw. I'm out of here as soon as my paid time is up, and the only reason I'm sticking around that long is because [livejournal.com profile] matrixrefugee personally asked me to. I refuse to support a company with the attitude Mr. Nosik has just expressed.

With that in mind... how many of you have InsaneJournal accounts and are willing to be Friended by me over there?

EDITED TO ADD: I just started an account over on VOX:

http://prairiecrow.vox.com

It's similar enough to LiveJournal to be easy to use and it's not as butt-ugly as InsaneJournal.
