Good News/Bad News

Good News: One of the packages I've been waiting for arrived today. My panton!



Bad News: It was the wrong panton. >.<

The wood grain is all wrong, and the symbols are smaller and black, not blue/silver. I suspect they mixed my order up with another panton that was on eBay simultaneously, one that I passed up bidding on because I liked it less.

I've just fired off an email to them, explaining the problem and giving them an opportunity to make it right (ie, send me the correct panton) before I leave unfavorable feedback with eBay. I don't think my chances of getting any action on this are very good, however.

Oy. Excuse me while I go lie down and whimper for a while.

Well.... we could try and pain the black symbols to a nicer colour... and work with it.... hopefully they correct the problem though.. *HUGE HUGS*

Aye, there's the rub -- the panton pictured is the one I THOUGHT I was getting, and the pic is straight from that auction. The one I got looks different. ;-)

Your chances are actually pretty good to get some kind of restitution with ebay. I once ordered something on ebay, paid for it, and never got the product. I emailed the ebayer several times and never heard back, and went through ebay's restitution program and they got me my money back at least..you should at least be able to get a refund if not a new paten.
I'm sorry you got the wrong product hon :(. that is always a big disappointment.

If things go ikky on Ebay and you get stuck with the unwanted Panten, we can always paint it up. I have six bottles of lovely metalic paint we can use, including gold, blue, purple, red, green, gunmetal, silver, copper and.. um.. black?

Hmmm. We could do the Goddess symbol in silver, the God symbol in gold, the air in blue, the fire in red, the water in green, the earth in black, and the spirit in purple...

*stops plotting what to do with NL's painting supplies, and thanks her kindly for the offer*

I haven't heard back from the people who sent me the panton yet; they're about 24 hours away from a very nasty eBay review, though. And if that's the case, it looks like this panton is it... though with so many people offering to help me make it right, I think it will work out just fine after all. :-)
