So here I am, preparing to fire up Photoshop and set to work. The increased Risperidol dosage appears to be working, but lordy, it's like being hit upside the back of the head with a 2x4: I'm slowed, dumbed down, in less emotional pain but still messed up.
Last night my friend Corey stopped by and took me out to the Bridge Drive-In, an ice cream place known locally as the BDI:

If, in the top photo, you could walk straight ahead past the BDI shack and into the parking lot, this is what you'd see if you looked to your right:

On warm summer days and evenings, folks usually get an ice cream (and believe me, with 10% butterfat by volume, BDI ice cream is SINFULLY indulgent) and take a leisurely walk over the bridge, ending up in a lovely upscale neighborhood where, under the tall arches of elm trees, they can stroll around looking at the beautiful houses.
Last night it was raining, so Corey and I skipped the walk and took shelter in his car, but I had a sweet creamy hot fudge/hot caramel sundae and brought home a banana milkshake for George, and was diverted by Corey's descriptions of what a local group of Star Wars fans is planning for a theme suite at Keycon 2005, coming up the weekend of May 20th.
Funny... my appetite has taken a huge upward spike. Possibly the Risperidol, or maybe just a visceral need for comfort when I'm feeling so low.
If you really want to start drooling, here's a little article on the Goog, which is a signature speciality of the BDI: "Part sundae, part milkshake and 100% guilty pleasure." :-)
