Today I actually got out of the house at an early hour, paid a Hydro bill, had lunch out, and did a bit of shopping. My finds included two CDs that I've had on tape for years and desperately wanted on disc ("Please Hammer Don't Hurt 'Em" by MC Hammer and "Off The Deep End" by Weird Al Yankovic) and a book on woodcraft, "Campers' Guide to Woodcraft and Outdoor Life", which it turns out my husband had back in the '60's when he was a boy in Scouts. :-D Amazing, eh? So far it's a wonderful little volume, full of illustrations of animal tracks, tips on packing and setting up camp, various recipes for open fires, wilderness first aid, plus a section on how to make things like cloth waterproofed food bags and even your very own packsack. It was written in the 1950's, but how much have the woods changed in the last 55 years?
I also completed a Witchvox listing for Radiance Gifts & Treasures, a local shop which stocks some Wiccan and Pagan supplies. Looking over their website, I wince at the amount of New Age crap, but hey, it's a neighborhood business. Though there is apparently another Pagan shop that has just opened up further down Corydon. Perhaps I'll check them out tomorrow...
