Monday, March 1, 2004 is SI Awareness Day.

"We are male and female. We are artists, athletes, students, and business owners. We have depression, DID, PTSD, eating disorders, borderline personalities, bipolar disorder, or maybe no diagnosis at all. Some of us were abused, some were not. We are straight, bi, and gay. We come from all walks of life and can be any age. We are every single race or religion that you can possibly think of. Our common link is this: We are in pain. We self-injure. And we are not freaks."

I can get behind that too... I didn't know there was an SI awareness day... but I'm rather impressed there is.

SI is such a taboo thing in the world, I'm glad there is a force to increase awareness of the subject.

Here to talk if you need - but you know that. However, hearing that sometimes helps.

I'm glad there's a SI day, too. There's only so many times one can hear ignorance from people who claim everyone who does it are goth wannab's doing it to be 'cool' . **Screams**
