Sigh.

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly:

1) The Good, Part One: Everyone who posted in response to my last post. Thank you. I needed it.

The Good, Part Two: Chocolate brownies. Not in the same league as friends, but oh so tasty.

2) The Bad, Part One: My lower right leg. I smucked it up good running for a bus (tripped as I was leaping onto the barely-moving vehicle and came down on the shin with my full weight on the edge of the first step), and it has swollen up quite a bit in the last few hours. Hurts like a bitch, too. Not infected, but a blood vessel somewhere under that scrape and bruise is not very happy.

The Bad, Part Two: Star Wars. Oh, fuck. The artist has totally pooched the deadline, and everyone is going nuts. George is now also going into the studio every day, swing-shifting with me to get the job out. DW owes us SO big when this is all over...

3) The Ugly, Part One: My uterus, which is alternately spewing blood randomly and trying to claw its way out of my abdomen. It seems to be performing a duet with my right leg. Bastard.

The Ugly, Part Two: "Hello, darkness, my old friend..." Depression. I can write/talk today, but I was pretty much incoherent yesterday. Today, I actually prayed to the Goddess: "Mommy, I'm tired of playing -- can I come in and have a nap?" Unfortunately, death doesn't come just for the asking.

It's a bit tougher than that.

Hey, Crow Joe. Glad things are looking a bit brighter today **hugs** .

Chocolate is good. Always good! I still have a Laura Secord bar sitting at home with me, and an xmas prezzie. **NL taps her motherly, witchy foot** ... Depending on when the deadlines end, Corey and you and I Must do a movie night. And I do Mean MUST. I can bring popcorn and cookies. **winks** . We've been wanting to do a movie night for eons and hun, you need a break after wringer you've been wrung through!

Regarding the leg.... I wonder if that tooth ache topical ansethetic you got (evil tooth ache!) will work on surface pain? I know they use it on rats if they lose a toenail.

Regarding the depression... read my response to the post before this **winks** . Pele is your best friend.... Nice volcano Goddess :-D . (cryptic as hell.. sorry. I'm bad at hinting at things :-P )

Now where the heck is that package of popcorn I was stashing?

Hi hon
Glad things are a little better. Don't worry too much about the brownies, we've all done it. When i hit a bad depression, i ate almost a whole large jar of peanut butter and box of crackers. EWWW.
The Goddess is right there for you, She isn't far away at all.,

((I hope I didn't sound too heavy-handed in my comment on your previous post...))

I hear yah about *that* time of the month: it's right on top of me even as I type this: Ibuproferin and chammomile tea seem to be the only things taking the edge off it right now.

And praying for death: Gad, I've been there, too, and not too long ago, either. We've both got stories we still have to tell, so I think that's why Death hasn't come for either of us.
