Dragons and Holter monitors

In other non-emergency news... had a Holter monitor put on yesterday at the hospital. Was told to come back today to have it taken off. Took ten steps outside our apartment and discovered that the entire world is one sheet of black ice due to frozen rain. Couldn't even make it to the bus stop. Managed to get back home without falling and breaking something. Called the hospital, took the monitor off myself, wrapped it up securely, and called a courier. $17.73 is a small price to pay for not breaking an arm.

Heh. Gives me another couple of hours to get work done, also.

Yes, it was terrible out there. Despite being careful, I took a nasty tumble and hurt my ..er...posterior as well as my head. No harm other than some embarassment and bruising, thank goodness. I agree, better to pay just over seventeen dollars than hurt yourself!
