Adopt one today! / Adopt one today! / Adopt one today! / Adopt one today! / Adopt one today! / Adopt one today! / Adopt one today!

My scroll with all the dragons you've helped to grow up big and strong.

That's all for now. (If anyone wants a gold or silver, let me know; after this clutch grows up I'll have a sufficently large breeding pool to produce them on demand, I hope!)

I wouldn't mind a gold or another silver. My silver refuses to breed at all. D:

I've just bred another silver. It's yours if you want it, and you're next in line for a gold from my stables.

I do want! :D Just give me a couple days for my eggies to hatch - I just got five a few days ago.

EDIT: ooops, my bad. Three of them have hatched. :D

I need to research the new egg transfer process; will get back to you when I know more.

hey do you ever put your eggs at thedcfansite.com? It helps me grow mine :)

Your eggs look like a row of jelly-beans. So cute!

Hey - how do I know if I'm actually clicking on them and not just viewing them?
Date/Time: 2009-01-29 19:02 (UTC)Posted by: [identity profile] crowdog66.livejournal.com
To click on eggs, you actually tap them with your cursor. The egg page itself comes up. That's a click.

A view is just a view of the egg image on a website. :-)

I'd LOVE a gold and/or a silver.
YAYYYYYY!!!!!
That would be great, thanks.
I could breed you a winter in return if you want.

Ps. Clicked your dragons!

Hey!
I was browsing the winnipeg pagan community and was randomly clicking journals, heh.
I just got into dragon cave recently! I'm addicted! But i'm having absolutely no luck in getting a gold or silver. How did you get so many? just luck & then breeding?

Think you could help a gal out? =P

I've just bred a gold egg. We'll need to coordinate the transfer via AIM, though, so you can email me at anotheragentsmith at gmail dot com to let me know when you'd be on IM.

I will, however, have to ask that you find more places to post your eggs if I'm to give you one of mine so that I know it won't die from lack of clicks. [livejournal.com profile] dragonspam is an excellent resource where you can post once a day for views and clicks. [livejournal.com profile] dragon_er is a good place to take eggs and hatchlings with only one day left.

Please let me know if that would be acceptable for you. :-)

I post my dragons on here, nexopia, gaia, specktre, facebook, myspace, and some of the fansites, so mine have no real risk of dying, don't worry about that, hah.

My aim is Lady Faenyx :)

I'd just noticed that one of your eggs is dead. Was that a kill, then?
Date/Time: 2009-01-29 19:12 (UTC)Posted by: [identity profile] polkadots.livejournal.com
Nope, it was my very first dragon when I joined the site, and was still learning it all. About 2 weeks ago (should be disappearing off my scroll any day now I'd assume. Probably tomorrow, since tomorrow is the 2 week mark)

Ah! That explains it. :-) We're good to go, then.

Are you familiar with the "/getdragon/" egg transfer method? (although now it's the "/code/" transfer method since the new server has new file names for the eggs) That's the method I prefer to use. I'd suggest that we try the transfer now, but the Cave is clogged with abandoned eggs and that might hang up the process. Will you be available later this evening, say around 10 pm CST?
Date/Time: 2009-01-29 19:24 (UTC)Posted by: [identity profile] polkadots.livejournal.com
Nope! But I will familiarize myself with it. :P
Is it simply just... http://dragcave.net/code/####
And I would refresh the second you put it in?

And yes, i'll be on around that time. :)
Date/Time: 2009-01-29 19:28 (UTC)Posted by: [identity profile] crowdog66.livejournal.com
Yep, I give you the link to the egg, you start refreshing that page, I count to 3 and abandon the egg. It should transfer to you automatically, provided that you have room on your scroll for it (which you currently do).

See you around 10 pm, then!
Date/Time: 2009-01-29 19:46 (UTC)Posted by: [identity profile] polkadots.livejournal.com
Right on!
Shouldn't be too complicated.
Does the usercount online tend to go down a lot as the evening goes on?

Also, when I refresh the page, will it be like the abandon page where I have to click the egg, or does it automatically go to my scroll when I refresh & see it on the /code/ page?

See ya. =)
And thank you!

Usercount often (but not always) drops in the later evening.

And you won't have to click the egg; when you refresh the /code/ page it will automatically transfer to your scroll.

Ahh ok.

I was trying out the /code/ thing on my fiance's account. I went to the abandon page, when it was really full, and chose one that didn't seem like it was going anywhere (after a few refreshes), and took the little 4 number&digit code, and plopped it into the dragcave.net/code/#### thing, and when it went to the page, it said something along the lines of "You don't have permission to access the BBcode or HTML because you do not own this egg", so I thought "Hm, someone probably snatched it up while I was trying this", but nope. I refreshed the abandon page and it was still there (even hovered over it to make sure it WAS still the same egg)

So i'm wondering if i'm missing something here, heh. Just a lil' confusing.
I don't want to accidentally lose the egg later.
Date/Time: 2009-01-29 21:15 (UTC)Posted by: [identity profile] crowdog66.livejournal.com
We might want to try the transfer process with a "junk" egg first, then -- something common and not likely to be mourned if it's lost in transit.

Sounds like a plan.

Hi there! I found the Dragon Cave website a few weeks ago and I instantly became addicted to it :D I've searched a lot for rare dragons, but so far, I haven't spotted one single gold or silver dragon in the cave or in the abandoned page! They must be REALLY rare, cause I have already seen paper eggs, dino eggs and chicken eggs...
I was wondering if you're still breeding gold and silvers to give away? If it's possible, I'd really like to have one of those. :D
Please write back!

Here's the link to my scroll in case you want to check out my dragons --> http://dragcave.net/user/Dinogaby (Not a LOT of dragons there).
