Let's start out with what may well be THE ugliest website on the Internet:

Be sure to check out the portait section:

And have the sound turned up -- you wouldn't want to miss thegodawful inspiring music that accompanies each separate page. Heck, feel free to open up multiple windows at once for an enhanced experience!
In other news... LiveJournal is bringing back Basic Accounts. Sort of.

Sounds more like a variation on Plus Accounts to me...
Speaking of "variations", check out some examples of John McCain's "humor":

I'm a Canadian, so not voting for him isn't really a choice, but if it WERE a choice, I would definitely be selecting someone else.

One of the funniest things I've seen in a very long time.
Also via LiveJournal...
flamingchords' blog goes BOOM after a post on the issue of abortion:

I agree with his sentiments, although the seventh paragraph could perhaps have been more diplomatically phrased. Then again, I believe that some people really DO look at women that way.
Later today I'm going over to a friend's house to help her prepare it for viewing. Washing windows and floors. There's no link attached to that particular concept. I'm just sayin'.

As to the journal entry from "flamingchords": I'm on the fence with the pro-life movement. I've met too many pro-lifers who I agree earned the title "fetus-huggers", since they seemed to care more about "OMG TEH UNBRON BAYBEEZ!!!!11111" than about, say, people considering suicide or who've wrestled with suicidal ideations. However, I'm with you on that second paragraph. There may be people like that, but not all pro-lifers think that way.

As far as the thing on Flamingchords' LJ, I didn't want to get into it because it immediately turned into a semantics debate. I'd rather focus on the actual issue: hormonal birth control is not an abortifacient, and yet it's being conflated with abortion. That's not just dippy fundamentalism steeplejacking a government agency, it's dippy fundamentalism with really bad science, and the HHS ought to know better than to make such an argument. Not like that's a new thing with this administration, but still. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Unrelated: your handle looks familiar. Are you the same Matrix Refugee who was on GAFF, way back when, before it got overrun with morons?
