I went down to get the laundry a few minutes ago and found a cat sitting in front of the door to apartment #9, looking like he wanted to get in.

Knocking in the door produced no response, so I brought him up to our apartment. He's locked in the studio with us while Emmie and Mina worry in the hallway.

Dammit, what is it with me and stray/lost cats? I really can't afford to take the time today to play silly buggers looking for the owner. When I go down to get the next load of laundry in about 45 minutes I'll slip a "Have you lost your cat?" note under the door of apartment #9. If it's not theirs, the caretaker will just have to take care of it, whether that means finding the owner in the building or taking it down to the WHS (the darned cat has no ear tattoo). I'll be at a convention this weekend and won't be available to cat-sit, and I've already done my spent-40-dollars-getting-a-cat-to-the-WHS deed on behalf of the owners of the building.
