Sleep is such a warm, kindly place. I never want to leave it.

But, coffee in hand... have to face the new day, if I intend to go on living. God, I'm so scared. Scared and hurting like hell.

Last night I was up until 4 am reading Stephen King -- the last half of "Cujo" and the first half of "The Dark Zone". What is it with King and wierd cat names? In "Cujo", the two cats mentioned were named Mr. Clean and Bernie Carbo. In "The Dark Zone", the cat is named Speedy Tomato. *shakes head* Strange are the master...

I also lost myself briefly in watching scenes from the commentaried version of "Killer Condom" on DVD. I caught part of the movie on Scream last weekend, and have been intrigued by it ever since. Rented it on Tuesday and have watched it twice since then -- it's a German film, subtitled, supposedly set in New York City (some of the money shots were filmed in NYC, however it must be in an alternate universe where everybody speaks German, including folks from Oklahoma!), about a world-weary detective's attempts to solve the mysterious castrations of patrons at a brothel called the Hotel Quickie... along the way, he discovers a young call-boy who only wants love (and whom he falls for in return), a transvestite ex-lover who's hilariously aggressive about wanting him back, and yes, the Killer Condom of the title.

I'm going to try to rope Eastpath into watching it with me Tuesday (if I'm well enough to see anyone) before I take it back to the video store. Horror and comedy aside, it's actually a sweet little romance. I think this one will be in my Top 3 movies for some time to come.
