Let's start off the day with a beautiful piece of art by Alex Raymond.

Just look at that technique, and the masterful mixing of media. *sighs*

In other news... last night I bled like a stuck pig, although it had slowed to a trickle by this morning. Consequently I'm feeling tired today, and still crampy, dammit.

There's a What Not To Wear marathon on TLC today. It's one of my favorite shows to listen to while I work, so I'm quite pleased.

Time for more coffee.

WOW! What a picture! I was immediately stuck with a "MOOD" when I clicked on your cut. I can't say the mood's name, as it is nameless, but it was just... wow, very nice! There is a lot of emotion in there.

*HUGS* Have they decided if you are having any anemia problems with the heavy flow yet?

No anemia. My blood levels were excellent when they were taken about a month and a half ago.

It's just annoying as all heck. :/

Good show!
I know you're at risk for pernicious anemia as your mom had it..I have PA and it's no picnic sometimes. As we both like our meat, that helps a great deal.

Awesome, thanks for posting.
I can relate to the heavy flow issues. Mine's usually like that the first couple of days..
If you haven't asked yet, you might want to look into the Mature Woman's Clinic at HSC..it's specifically for peri-or menopausal women who are experiencing difficulties and need support. My mom went there and had a great experience (and they even have a nifty "Menopop" pop up book about menopause in the lobby..it entertained me for quite a while, and now i want a copy.. lol).Ask your doc about it!

oh, and eastpath..this might not be true for all women, but i was on the bcp off and on for years, to help with migranes and menstrual cramps. I've been off the pill now for over a year, and while my period is less predictible, believe it or not, the flow and cramps are more berable then when i was on the pill. Not to mention the mood swings are more under control..oy vey. Me on Ortho Tri Cyclen was, as Dan Conner on "Roseanne" so eloquently put it when describing Roseanne during PMS.."Like 24 hours on a roller coaster with Sybil at the switch". The pill can have its advantages, but can also make things worse.
just my carrots for the stew.
Later!
(oh, and is it just me, or do those ads for Always that say "Have a happy period" make you want to rip someone's throat out when you are bleeding so that it looks like a murder scene when you go to the washroom (TMI perhaps)..?? Happy Period my #@^^!! )
