The day is ending better than it began. George and I ordered fried chicken for supper and relaxed in front of the TV after a day of working very hard.
I've finished the basic panel flats on the latest chunk of HB pages. Next up: detailed flats. After that, true colors, and after that, final modelling of the figures. I figure I can turn 28 pages around by Friday. The deadline was originally tomorrow, but the penciller/inker is quite late on his end (a whole whack of pages came in on January 9th and I'm still waiting on 2 pages), so I think I can justify the extension of the deadline on my end even without bringing up how ill/exhausted/non-functional I've been over the last week.
I came across a little saying via SK's Project 365 blog:
Today, in spite of pain and weariness, it was the former instead of the latter.
Off to take more painkillers for my screaming back, and then to bed.

The joy of discipline
or the pain of regret...
which will it be today?
