I am awake. Barely. In spite of sleeping 12 hours and taking my Ritalin this morning before rising, I'm still dragging myself around the apartment.

Thank you to everyone who posted responses concerning my continuing weariness. An iron, zinc, and/or copper deficiency would certainly fit the bill, as would pernicious anemia, which my mother suffered for many years. I am truly hoping that it is not something involving the liver or the kidneys, which would be Genuinely Bad News. What I'm going through is not the type of exhaustion typical of depression, so I've pretty much ruled that out.

*sigh* Time to have some more coffee, and then set about propelling myself through the day's work.

As you might remember, I also have pernicious anemia. If you want information or tips, please let me know. I also belong to an online pernicious anemia group from Britain, which has excellent information.
Take care of yourself.

I actually hadn't remembered that. Interesting -- my mother had pernicious anemia also, but of course she was in her 60's when she was diagnosed, and it's much more common in people in that age range than it is in people in our age range.

Thank you for the offer of help and advice. Oh, by the way, would you mind bringing a vegetable dish for Saturday? :-) That would be super. It looks like we'll have between four and six people attending.
