Girl Genius... Beltane... ahhh, ahhh, ahhhhh. As you can see, I don't even have the energy to put out a good scream any more!
So, let's talk about Emmie. This afternoon before I left for work at 3, George and I amused ourselves by creating a "tunnel" for Emmie on the couch by draping a blanket across the back and leaving a bit of space between the bottom of the blanket and the back of the couch. Last I saw, Emmie had burrowed in eagerly (as she always does, fascinated as she is with "new" spaces) and was in the middle of the couch.
At 7 pm, when George sat down on the couch to talk with me on my lunch break, he was surprised by two little white hind feet thrusting themselves out from under the blanket, toes extended and quivering in a wake-up stretch. Emmie, being solar powered as we'd long suspected, had gone right to sleep in her dark little tunnel. She's lucky George didn't sit ON her, lol!
Back to Beltane... plans are proceeding apace, in spite of the fact that I feel like a cat-herder trying to wrangle all the little details of a full public ritual. My fellow planner, H., has been doing most of the work and a wonderful job to boot. On Saturday a few of us will be getting together at her place to rip fabric into long strands for the maypole and chew over the final version of the ritual script. Hopefully another friend of mine, T., will agree to help us out by filling our currently empty West quarter. *waves at T., and winks*
Off to bed. Ahhh, ahhh... zzznnnrrrrrkhhhh... zzzznnnrrrrkhhh...
