... no, I have no idea what the subject line has to do with this post. I just like the sound of it. [/channelling Jack Nicholson as the Joker]

I've been reduced to bribing myself on an hourly basis to get through the night. Work an hour, and I can have a few potato chips. Work another hour, and I can have a slice of apple. Sad, but true. Some days it's the only way to get anything done.

The accountant appointment tomorrow is at 1 pm, which will snap the workday in half; in fact, I doubt if I'll get any work done at all in the morning. I'm one of those people who needs to have at least three hours clear before I see any point in working at all, and I haven't had much luck getting up before 9 am, and after I get up it takes at least forty-five minutes of coffee and newspaper reading to get up enough steam to actually start work. So I'll probably work quite late tonight and sleep in tomorrow, get up about 11 am, have that coffee and paper, go to the bank with George, and then hippity-hop to the numbers shop it is. Afterwards we need to shop for some groceries. By the time I get home it will probably be around 4 pm. *sigh*

I'm very nervous about tomorrow. I don't know why, but I am. I have got to start exercising daily again. It helps keep my anxiety and stress levels down.

At least it looks like I might hit my deadline target for MM. And my editor has me lined up for a 250-page job after that. He's been wonderful; it saddens me that I probably won't be able to get him a gift in time for Christmas.

Back to work.

I imagine if you get him anything at all he will be surprised and tickled... no matter when it comes. *Hugs* People in those types of jobs don't even expect cards I'd wager. Good luck with the day... I'm up and off to work at 5 am... *sigh*
