Prayers and image-heavy posts

Accompanied by a fairly awful icon of yours truly...

I fired up the altar to Bast and said some prayers for Kelso on Thursday. Today I fired up the altar again and said some prayers for Emmie, since Kelso had hissed at her through the gap in our studio door and there's a slim chance he might have passed something communicable on to her (assuming he had anything to pass). So today's prayers were that Emmie's will be strong if an infection is an issue, and Mina as well.

What has me worried is this: last night while I was lying in bed reading with my knees up, Emmie came and lay down across my feet. This is something she very seldom does, and when I moved one leg to stretch it out, she reached out, wrapped her paw around it, and pulled it close to her body. I thought I felt her trembling before she fell asleep, but that might just be my over-concerned imagination.

I am SO hoping that she hasn't caught something. She was running around and playing yesterday and has been fairly lively today, which could be a good sign -- I hope.

It could be that Emmie was just emotionally unsettled by Kelso invading her home turf, even if only temporarily, and was seeking emotional comfort. But I will say a prayer for both Emmie and Mina just in case.

Lovely altars. Lots of prayers and healing going out to Emmie and Kelso.
It sounds like Emmie is ok. Kelso might have just freaked her out and that's why she is all lovey-dovey.
