I just had one of the two hot fudge sundaes that I allow myself every summer, from the Bridge Drive-In here in Winnipeg:

It's going to take HOURS for the sugar-induced, sappy smile to leave my face. Seriously, it's like shooting up with cocaine -- the glow, the rush, the sweet, sweet tingling. The BDI has THE best ice cream (with the highest butterfat content of any soft ice cream in town) and THE best hot fudge (creamy, thick, delicious).

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] eibhleann13 who drove us over there after we had supper together at the Pembina Village Inn. :-) And thanks to her also for spotting the VERY last cans of Coke Classic at the Safeway... more on that later.

Mmm...

I'm currently sipping a large Dr. Pepper slurpee. I'm not getting to bed at ten.

Not a problem! I really enjoyed myself tonight also, sans ice cream. I sent you an email so let me know if you don't get it please.

I'm currently searching for the Richard Burton pics you told me about.

Hoping you have a safe landing.

ahhhhh..the good ol BDI
I hear you about the rush from sugar and other refined carbohydrates..since hitting weight watchers the occasional candy treat does the same thing to me ;

What did they do to Coke?! I heard that they're changing the name but not the formula. My dad thinks otherwise, he says it tastes different. I'm not allowed to have Coke right now so I can't do a taste test. What have you heard?

Trying not to panic - T.

If they still say "classic" they've been sitting around for at least three months and are likely to taste like old rubber boots. They only changed (back) the name so there's no reason not to get newer ones.
