I just had one of the two hot fudge sundaes that I allow myself every summer, from the Bridge Drive-In here in Winnipeg:

It's going to take HOURS for the sugar-induced, sappy smile to leave my face. Seriously, it's like shooting up with cocaine -- the glow, the rush, the sweet, sweet tingling. The BDI has THE best ice cream (with the highest butterfat content of any soft ice cream in town) and THE best hot fudge (creamy, thick, delicious).
Thanks to
eibhleann13 who drove us over there after we had supper together at the Pembina Village Inn. :-) And thanks to her also for spotting the VERY last cans of Coke Classic at the Safeway... more on that later.

I'm currently sipping a large Dr. Pepper slurpee. I'm not getting to bed at ten.

I'm currently searching for the Richard Burton pics you told me about.
Hoping you have a safe landing.

I hear you about the rush from sugar and other refined carbohydrates..since hitting weight watchers the occasional candy treat does the same thing to me ;
