It's amazing what a few hours alone can do.
Last night, after stopping work at 3:30 am, I couldn't get to sleep because I was SO frustrated and annoyed about Reg. I was able to talk some of it out with George, which definitely helped.
But today... just having the house to myself felt like such sheer luxury. I was able to take the cover off of my altar (which is in the living room where Reg spends most of his time, and which I keep covered mostly out of respect for his own strong Christian beliefs), and actually light the candles and sit in front of it and pray/contemplate the Gods for a long stretch of time. I'm going to ask Reg and George to leave the house again sometime next week so I can do so again.
The joy of having a working altar again was so intense that I've set up a temporary altar in the studio, for use while I'm bringing the latest issue of HB to its conclusion.
And I found the lost library books. It turns out that George packed them into a box in the bedroom, thinking they were ours. D'oh --and whew.

I don't mean to be devil's advocate here, but if you were staying in a Catholic household, would you expect them to take down a crucifix or a picture of Jesus?
Personally, i hope Reg one day comes to his senses and realizes just HOW good you are being to him. I would say if you are a guest in my pagan home, not to mention a guest who is not contributing and is becoming a nuisance, you will have to live with the pagan trappings. The only time i would remove something is if it was a guest in my home such as my mother in law etc who specifically said something was making her really uncomfortable. and even then i'd have to think about it...my first inclination would be to say, "Well, there's a Howard Johnson's up the road..." LOL. Maybe i'm just harsh.
BUT, that said, i probably would ensure the altar was protected from negative energies.
