This is our new computer, the 24" Apple iMac:



It took George and me almost two hours of in-depth soul-searching and detail-wrangling this evening (after weeks of sporadic research), but we finally made the choice between a refurbished G5 tower and the bleeding-edge iMac. In my depressed state of mind it wasn't easy thinking that long or that intensely about anything, but I believe we made the right decision. We just placed the order with Apple using my mom's credit card and could have the machine in our hands as early as Friday.

It comes with a built-in camera and microphone plus lots of other cool bells and whistles. It has beefed-up RAM and a top-of-the-line graphics card. And damn, is it sexy. So sexy I need to go and take a long cold shower just thinking about it.

It was incredibly hard choice to make, but now I can hardly wait to get it out of the box. :-)

Moses has the 17in version, but I think it's the release just before this one, he got it gently used from a university student... he *LOVES* it.. it's so FAST! and... QUIET!

You are not going to be disappointed.. and the monitor size seems like it'll be really great for all your comic work :) :)
