Saturday:
Went to see Pirates of the Caribbean 2 with
chimera452 and her husband. Not a bad movie. It had some inventive fight choreograhy, but definitely dragged in places. Before the movie we had dinner at Applebee's, which was pretty much as I remembered it: decent food at somewhat excessive prices.
Sunday:
A friend named Brian, who I met throught the Full Moon group I run, is a GM in an AD&D campaign. Since
jeffheikkinen's game is pretty much over, I've been looking for a new campaign to get into, and Brian invited me to do a fill-in session running someone else's character in his game.
Heh. The phrase "and a good time was had by all" definitely applies. The character I was running is chaotic neutral shading toward neutral evil, which is an alignment I've never played before, so it was a challenge, but I got along well with everyone and liked Brian's GMing style. The 8-hour session encompassed an epic combat sequence, and I counted myself lucky not to have gotten the character killed.
Monday:
Picked up some medication and some Folgers coffee on sale at the Pharmaplus, stopped at Foodfare to pick up some cat litter, then came home, did some internet chat, made a dinner of baked fish/rice/veggies, and exercised.
Brian called to say that everyone enjoyed gaming with me and that one of the players is taking a sabbatical/quitting, so would I like to take over her character? Woot!
Today:
Emailed Brian to say that I'm very pleased to be invited to his game, but would prefer to bring in a character of my own, though I'm willing to run the abandoned PC for a while at least.
Phoned around making arrangements to pay some bills. We could really use some of the money we've loaned out to various people in the last couple of months; I might have to start tapping folks to see what I can shake loose.
Tonight is the Witches Meetup. Not sure when I'll be able to fit in any exercise.
Yeah, this is my life. Ain't it thrilling?
