Oh noez, I is a MEAN PERSON!

Someone on the WiccanTogether.com site just attempted to bitchslap me via a comment on my profile page, apparently because I dared to disagree with her recommendation that a 12-year-old use Silver Ravenwolf as a primary resource for learning Wicca. OH NOEZ, I IS A FASCIST MEANIE POO-POO HEAD!!1!11!

(And yes, I've responded to a couple of other posts of hers in much the same vein. I have never, however, insulted her or talked down to her, at least as far as I can recall.)

I'm really tempted to respond with something along the lines of: "Bitch, please... disagreeing with you is NOT "badgering" you. You REALLY want to see me get medieval on your ass? Okey-dokey, here we go..."

But I know that responding out of anger and anxiety that has nothing to do with her isn't fair, so I'm going to hold my peace. For now.

EDITED TO ADD: And now one of her (presumably) friends is getting in on the action (see link above), accusing me of all sorts of things that are quite untrue. I don't know whether to be amused or profoundly depressed by this.

Extending the olive branch

Remember my last entry, about a dust-up over on WiccanTogether.com? Well, this is how I went about extending the olive branch to the person I'd apparently offended:

I am not "badgering" you. I am on occasion disagreeing with you. There's a BIG difference.

I'm sorry if disagreement distresses you. In the future, I will try to phrase my discourse in the most civil way possible to alleviate, as much as possible, your discomfort. And I apologize for any offense and/or distress I have inadvertently caused you. But when I disagree with something you (or anyone else) says, I will speak up about it. That's the nature of forums like WT -- you're going to get a LOT of different opinions.

Hopefully that does the trick.

EDITED TO ADD: Awwwww, blackcrow deleted my comment on his profile page! How brazenly cowardly cute! Wanna bet that my comment on rightwitch's page disappears as well?
