God bless AIM!

Today after my appointment at the hospital (more about that in another post, can you feel the suspense? :-P), I got off my ass and set out to contact Second Chance CDs. Fortunately they offer customer support via AIM, and I was able to get hold of someone that way. The following conversation ensued...

So, Jill, if you want that statue, I can let it go for the stated value for customs of $47, plus the $12 GST/PST/handling that I paid to Canada Post, for a total of $59 Canadian. (I don't feel right in making the company eat the $12, since it WAS my decision to pay it... if that makes any sense.)

Ritalin, my twu wu -- GAHHHHHHHHH!!!

Amazing, what a difference half a tablet can make. From falling fast into black, agonizing depression to feeling much more spry in about two hours. I am now feeling much better about the "gorgeous color" comment in a certain LJ. It no longer makes me feel full of self-harming despair.

GAHHHHHHHHH!!! BATHTUB OVERFLOW! WATER EVERYWHERE! FLOODED HALL CARPET! CARETAKER KNOCKING ON THE DOOR WONDERING WHY THERE'S WATER COMING OUT OF THE CEILING IN THE SUITE BELOW! GAH! GAH! GAHHHHHHHHH!!!

(one hour later...)

The bathtub is drained and full of soaking wet towels. The wall-to-wall carpet in the hallway is a swamp.



Thank God for Ritalin. Without it, I'd probably be a sobbing wreck in the corner. As it is, I'm just mad, wet, and throughly disgruntled.
