I'm not dead yet, and already they're is dancing on my coloring grave.

I'm afraid my reaction to the gushing over the "gorgeous" job the new colorist is doing on the GG pages is what the hell am I -- chopped liver?

You know, not once (that I can recall) have the editors praised my color in front of the fans. Not one single time. In fact, when they've mentioned me at all it's been in a dismissive manner, not even using my name. What the hell was the point?

*hangs head*

It makes it damned hard to keep coloring the few pages I have left, let me tell you.

(Yes, I know I'm being a pissy bitch. But right now I'm plunging back down that black hole of depression at light-speed.)



(EDITED five minutes later to add: Oh, fuck. What with the medical tests/injections/scannings today, I only took one half of a Ritalin tablet. I'm a good four hours overdue for the second half.

Could it really be that simple...? Nah. That thought is, in itself, immensely disheartening at the moment.)



(EDITED ten minutes later to add: Okay... holding on. Trying to ride the depression out. Making tea, tidying, opening up chat with MR and Puck. Holding on. Dammit, holding on...)

That does it, I *WON'T* order the GG graphic novels, the way I had been planning to. If they're gonna treat you like this, I ain't gonna shell out any money for their damn comic. I might even post a comment on their frockin' LJ to that effect. Stingy ungrateful bastards... ::Spits in the Foglios' general direction, as she removes the GG site from her Favorites folder::

I also know what it feels like to have your work unappreciated. It sucks!!! Especially when nobody understands exactly how much effort is needed to get the job done.

Actually, given the circumstances, Kaja has been both civil and civilized -- giving me the first three issues of the book to color is a lot better than a kick in the chops. I think it's just a missed medication dosage that's sending me into a tailspin.

Missed meds can do it. I forgot my Paxil this morning and it was a hellish enough day, now i am relying on caffeine and sugar to get me through the day..destined to crash later but at least it keeps me coasting for now.
