So -- today, two appointments, one with Nurse Harper, the psych nurse in charge of my progress in the DBT courses at Health Sciences, and Dr. Simm, my psychiatrist. Neither was particularly easy; each time I see them, I consciously strip away the coping mechanisms I employ to appear "normal" to the rest of the world. Dr. Simm issue me a medical leave note for an indefinite period of time, and suggested that perhaps going back to the weekly DBT course (as opposed to the once-a-month trial class I'm in right now) might be helpful. :-(
When I got home, I sent another Girl Genius page to Kaja Foglio, as well as an email explaining that my week's lead on the deadline had been eaten up by medication issues and giving them a heads-up so that if I miss a page deadline, at least they've had warning. It was one of the most difficult emails I've had to write in a very long time. I hate admitting how much things get me down, even to my friends. Doing it with a business associate... *wince*
