Thanks to everyone who took time to post regarding my last entry (best summed up as "OMG, we MIGHT be moving, I CAN'T STAND THE STRESS!!!!!"). You're quite right about not borrowing trouble and trying to look on the bright side if trouble comes. :-) It's just... I HATE moving. I get very attached to specific places, and can barely put into words how deeply I loathe disrupting those connections, as well as having to sort through the monumental chaos of my living space to sort things out, package things up, and actually get them transported. The one positive thing about moving out-of-province is that we'd probably end up just getting rid of most of our big stuff (and a lot of our books, which is less positive) and buying new when we arrived.

As for today, a lot has already been accomplished:

1) Out to PharmaPlus to exchange a prescription. Also picked up Dare cookies for dessert after the post-ritual feast on Saturday, $2/bag, in double fudge, chocolate chip, and lemon flavors. Bonus!
2) Down to Movie Village to return a few movies.
3) D'oh! Forgot to mail off the Marvel Masterworks contract when I was at PharmaPlus. Ended up doing it at Shoppers Drug Mart instead, which happens to be right next to Movie Village. Also ended up sending it by Priority Post to guarantee delivery within 5 business days, for $15.
4) Went to Safeway (in the same mall complex) and picked up bread, garbage bags, spray cleaner (can't seem to find Sanifoam anymore to save my life) and some 2-litre drinks.
5) Got back home, and am now about to start making beef stew (which I picked up the fixings for yesterday). Must wash pot. HATE washing pots. Grrrr.
6) While that's cooking, will probably start flatting pages for the European graphic novel color samples we have to produce over the weekend.
7) Somewhere in there, MUST fit in step exercise, which I didn't get to yesterday.

And boy, can I feel my period rushing down the bloody pike. Slow, stupid, lethargic, vaguely depressed... four hundredth and seventeenth verse, same as the first. *sigh* Yesterday I even managed to drop a bowl while drying it, shattering it completely, and it was one of a new set of bowls we'd just picked up, too.

Bleh.

I have those break everything I touch times during my period. It sucks ass.

We have no glasses left because of it...

*big hugs*

If I were you I'd pay extra to keep the books. Those are prescious... *more big hugs*

Wee! The Period Clutzies! You mean I'm not the only one who drops huge glass objects on things and almost had to pay my mom $1000 bux to repair her GLASS stove top? Yaaay! I busted two of her good glasses that day.... then later on busted a coffee pot. The Ladies of the Red Clutzies Unite!

Regarding Moving... EEP! I dunno what to say. I guess if you do have to move, I'd be more than willing to help shovel boxes and wrap glasses. Especially if it'll take some stress off your shoulders. If you don't move... YAAAAAAY!!!! **throws a party**

I know moving is a huge hassle, but here's one thing that might help (should this come to pass). Since you will be moving a fair distance for work related reasons, all moving expenses are tax deductible. I had to do this once and you do get a fair chunge of change back. Hopefully those savings will allow you splurge for the cost of taking your books. Frankly, I think books are too valuable to part with. And knowing you, I'm sure you've got a very rich and interesting library.

Hope this helps - T.
