I came across this one via a link from the Witchvox site (below you'll find that URL, which connects to a message board and a link to the article itself)... oh, Gods, make it stop. They've got to be kidding. Right? Right?!

"In a bulletin sent Christmas Eve to about 18,000 police organizations, the FBI said terrorists may use almanacs "to assist with target selection and pre-operational planning."
"It urged officers to watch during searches, traffic stops and other investigations for anyone carrying almanacs, especially if the books are annotated in suspicious ways.

I know I'm a Canadian, and have no real say in this one way or another, but please, any Americans reading this, seriously consider voting this govennment out of power. They're not just pulling silly shit like this: they're stripping away your basic rights and freedoms with the Patriot acts... and don't even get me started on the whole Pledge of Allegiance controversy... how many of the people demanding that "under God" be left in even realize that the phrase was added during the Cold War (to distinguish American from the godless Commies), and was never part of the original Pledge in the first place? Grrr...
