I took a long, hard, honest look at my schedule today and ended up deciding to cancel the Full Moon ritual this coming Saturday. The Hardy Boys account is just too big of a moneymaker for me to risk blowing next Wednesday's printing deadline. So I'm offering folks the chance to do a New Moon ritual instead, on January 28th.
Made a bunch of phone calls, including the ones to cancel my Friday appointments and a call to Lasercorner regarding the DVD they shipped to me in error. Turns out I'll have to pay to ship it back, but they'll credit me with the postage, and from there I can make another order. Sorry, Neo ;-) -- the "Social Engineering 101" DVD is calling my name...
Didn't go to the DBT session this afternoon. Today's activities include step exercise, doing a load of laundry, and making a brief appearance at the Circle of Artemis meeting tonight (it's literally just around the corner on Corydon). The rest, to paraphrase Shakespeare, is Hardy Boys. I intend to get the detailed flats finished today and (hopefully) most of the true colors laid in. Once that's done it'll be a matter of detailing the pages up, though some of them will be deliberately quick and simple -- I'm putting a lot less detail into the backgrounds than I normally do, in most cases letting a simple "grad" suffice. I don't think the editor will complain as long as it's in on schedule, and I'm a skillful enough colorist to make even simple color look damned good.
