Got up at 1 pm, was out of the house by 3 pm, got home from shopping at about 6 pm. Whew... George practically collapsed when we got in the door, he was so exhausted. His chest is still congested and he keeps breaking out in a sweat, so he's not out of the woods yet as far as the flu goes.

Sent off presents for everyone except [livejournal.com profile] eastpath, and it was about as much of a nightmare as I expected, what with taping up the boxes, filling out customs forms, etc. Note to [livejournal.com profile] becky2112, [livejournal.com profile] dark_puck, [livejournal.com profile] matrixrefugee, and [livejournal.com profile] nightdog_barks: I undervalued the contents of the packages just so you wouldn't get hit with outrageous duty charges in the event the customs officer decided to get stroppy. Just FYI, so you don't see the valued amount and go "squawk!" at the cheapness.

I found out today that Warehouse One no longer makes or carries the brand and color of jean I've been wearing for years, the black Easy Fit. Wahhhhhhh! Why didn't somebody tell me the '80's were finally going out of style? :-/

Tomorrow is my first shift at Quagga Stray Cat Rescue as well as an evening get-together with John and Susan, so we'll have to see how my energy levels hold up. Right now, I have to put my head down and plow into Hardy Boys again. Oh, yayness.

Time for a cup of vanilla-flavored coffee to ease the transition into work...
