Four finished pages, and almost two pages of true color flats on Hardy Boys. Not bad, considering that I had a meeting interrupt the day and that I'm feeling fairly under the weather with depression.

The First Assembly of God Church has a Fear Factor ministry that lets youths swallow live goldfish in order to teach them about fear.
"We need to be realistic about what the Bible says about fear and not be afraid to share our faith in school," youth minister Anthony Martin told the TimesDaily in a story Thursday. "We can't let that fear rule our lives."
Martin said the ministry's participants are between the ages of 14 and 21 and that they had to get their parents to sign a waiver to be involved.
In teaching the lesson about fear, participants in last week's round were asked to pull a number between one and three from a bowl that would indicate how many live Comet goldfish would be swallowed.

I just find it a tad ironic, since it's people like this that sometimes accuse us Pagans of abusing animals...

That is just...flabbergasting. I love the media as a whole, as I'm one of them and all, but I guess it gets on my nerves that only the most extremist crap--of any religion--ever gets any press time. I guess it's just not as "sexy" an article if it's about "Members at 1st Christian Church of Elm Street serve God quietly and never ever have any hateful protests." And that goes the same for Pagans, too. Grrrr.
