Feeling a bit better today, thank goodness. Thanks to all who posted with supportive words -- it helps, believe me.

Great... now I'm gunshy of Hardy Boys. Guess I just have to get back on the old horse again and start painting. If only I could think straight...

Being an Aspie, my mind is all over the map most of the time, and having a houseparty of characters all chattering at once doesn't help, either (well, sometimes it does...), so I hear yah! Take your time getting back on track: when you've stumbled on the road, sometimes it takes a little while to get back up and get your bearings again.
