Today: George and I went to visit a friend who ended up in hospital/operated upon because she suddenly hemorrhaged and nearly died from blood loss. She's very pale, but seems in good spirits. We might take a shift at her house later this week, making sure one of her children has lunch ready while her husband goes to bring her home.

Afterwards we attended another friend's gallery show opening for all of twenty minutes. *shakes head* It was a very uneven show, and didn't contain much of interest for either of us.

Yesterday: For the first time in my life, I took a swallow of coffee the wrong way and ended up blowing it all out my nose. In a public place, no less. *blushes furiously* Fortunately, the person I was with has raised children and didn't freak/gross out, but simply went to get enough napkins to wipe up the mess while I did my level best not to vomit into my dinner plate. Gah... not one of the best sensations I've ever enjoyed in my life. >.< Fortunately the restaurant wasn't very busy, so (almost) nobody saw the explosion of sound and color...

I wish I had a cool link to make this post more interesting and worthwhile, but nothing comes to mind. Tired and feeling okay/depressed by turns. I just want to climb into bed and turn off the world for, oh, the next week or so.

ETA: Found a link: The Eye of Argon. Click it if you dare! Has to be seen to be believed, much less appreciated.
