First up today: a trip to the Diabetes Education Clinic at the Health Sciences Centre, where I met with my dietician and got some helpful suggestions for how to eat while I'm exercising.

Afterwards I spent a wonderful few hours with Terri, wherein we had coffee, went to various shops, and generally picked up a LOT of stuff (mostly that I needed, for which I thank her). Among the things we found were... drumroll, please!... a copy of the same Kathy Smith video I'd ordered off of eBay. D'oh! After careful consideration, given the fact that the video I ordered will probably take 2 or 3 weeks to arrive, I bought the damned thing for $15.

I watched it when I got home, and I have to say that I am VERY impressed, though I doubt I'll get through more than the 8-minute warm-up segment tomorrow! But now at least I can start, as opposed to waiting, and I'll probably end up re-selling the other one on eBay once I've received it.

We also got some computer supplies and some groceries, including a not-to-be-believed price on pork tenderloin roasts. And tomorrow in the late morning Terri will come by again and we'll go out to a local butcher's, as well as to the new diabetic store here in town. *huggles Terri* Thank you SO much for being so kind to me!

When I got home George was already in bed, and the monitor on the G4 seems to be scrached INSIDE the screen in a large patch in the lower middle. WTF???!?! *sigh* I'll have to ask George about it in the morning.

Lunch out and a shopping trip to Sobey's with Terri, who was very kind about driving me to the store and home with many, many groceries. We did a lot of catching up over lunch, and I'm looking forward to seeing her and Roger together tomorrow afternoon.

No AD&D game tonight. Jeff pulled his far-too-usual trick of leaving the decision until the last minute -- then went off to a movie and did NOT call me to tell me the game was off. I'm a fair bit pissed, because if I'd known the game was off I could have made plans to do something else with Terri&Roger/George/someone else. As it is, I'll do a bit of work on the Marvel Masterworks samples and kill a bunch of time online, in all likelihood.

The increased dose of Ritalin seems to be having some effect. When I dragged myself out of bed at about 2:15, the mere thought of going to the grocery store would have almost reduced me to tears. Yet after lunch, I whipped through Sobey's with Terri with almost no stress or effort whatsoever.

Medication. Have to love it.

And now, a Quizilla diversion.

And my tarot card is... )
