This is more or less a copy-and-paste of a response to a specific letter I found in my inbox when I got home, and I hope the person I sent the original to won't mind... but this applies to all of you.
Thank you. You have no idea how much your kind words mean to me... and how much just being able to post in my LiveJournal and know that people heard meant to me as well. Getting out the poison sometimes helps me feel better, and it worked in this case; on my way to the appointment, I felt calmer than I would have otherwise, but increasingly sorry as the afternoon went on that I caused any of my friends the least anxiety!
I'm better now, and on a temporarily increased medication dosage, so I think I can hold on.
You're all true friends, and I appreciate your compassion and your patience with my mood swings more than I can possibly say.
Laurie

Don't worry in the least littlest bit about causing us anxiety. We are your friends, and friends are there for eachother at these times. We'd be crummy friends if we weren't there for you! You're an awesome person and deserve the best. Feel free to always "let out the poison" with me..our symptoms and conditions are different, but as someone that suffers from mental health issues too, i have been in those dark places and sometimes you're right, letting out the venom can be very relieving. Feel free to call me anytime. I'm a social worker, i'm trained to deal with these situations, so it will never cause me undue anxiety. I'm just glad i can be there for you, no thanks or apologies needed. ((smile)).
