So.
Saturday night was the first night for the new "Eberron" campaign my local GM is running, and I have to say that I had a hoot. My character, Sam, is a Warforged private eye (called an inquisitive in this universe) in the city of Sharn, which lets me play with some film noire conventions as well as an inorganic species. I'm really finding myself looking forward to next week's session.
After that, back home -- and onto the Hardy Boys. Painted until noon today. Went to bed exhausted and a little depressed. Woke up around 5 pm VERY depressed, and ended up staying in bed until 10:30 pm, when George hauled me out of bed by my heels and pulled me out to Starbucks for the vanilla latte I'd been waxing lyrical about just before falling asleep. I ended up picking up a slice of their coffee cake to go with it. (Dammit, Eastpath, you've converted me! :-D)
And now I'm sitting down in the studio with my cake and coffee, half-watching CSI: Miami (I can't help it: I find David Caruso as Horatio Caine oddly compelling!), and gettting ready to launch into the Hardy Boys job again. Hopefully tonight I'll finish all the pages I have in-house so far. Tomorrow afternoon, it's off to the psychiatrist for a consultation to see if I'm ready to go back to Ipsos-Reid.
No rest for the wicked, as they say.
EDIT: The Avatar Adoption Society over on GAFF is going great guns, so if anyone has some avatars in need of a good home, feel free to cruise over, check it out, and possibly adopt one of your own.
