Well, now that we've got THAT cleared out of the way...

TODAY: Gaaaaahhhhhh! David Ross blew the deadline on Breakdown #4! Gaaaaaaahhhhh! Which means that George, as colorist, gets to pick up ALL the slack. >.<

Which means that I, as his wife/partner, get to lay flats and paint the book for the next four days. Plus, we have to give up three pages of the book to another colorist in order to meet the printing deadline, for a net loss of $350 US. All thanks to someone's decision to take a vacation to San Francisco when he really should have been pencilling his book. *snarls, wails, gnashes teeth*

This also eats up my cushion on the Star Wars Ep III flats. Now I'll be running just far enough ahead of the colorist on THAT job not to get my heels nipped by the whirling lawnmower blades of HIS deadline.

Gaaaaaahhhhh. *all energy gone*

SUNDAY: Laid flats on Breakdown #4. No inkling of the coming storm. See the happy little flatter! *whistles cheerfully*

SATURDAY: Kick-ass AD&D session with the local Winnipeg gaming gang. My character's a sorcerer who messed with her master's books of magic once too often and got turned into a plump little tabby cat named Muffin. Hee! :-D She's tons of fun to play. Bad guys NEVER expect to see Burning Hands or Magic Missiles coming from the little kitty-cat darting among the feet of the combatants. Plus, her size modifier, combined with Mage Armor, makes her nearly impossible to hit. Who needs opposable thumbs?

THURSDAY: Stress test with the cardiologist. "Borderline changes" detected, resulting in an upcoming appointment for a nuclear scan of my heart during which I will be injected with radioactive isotopes.

*runs around striking heroic poses and declaiming: "Behold, ISOTOPE GIRL!"*

But not for another three months. Dammit, I want my superpowers now. Maybe it would help me paint Breakdown #4 faster...

IN GENERAL: Welcome to winter in Winnipeg. It's -40. However, the city is still sparkling with Christmas lights and looks bloody gorgeous with all the snow. Cruising around the Godawful Fan Fiction forums keeps me amused/appalled/intrigued with life in general. MR has a few issues with my Wiccan take on the Matrix universe, not to mention the slash pairing at the heart of it, but we are working around that. (I'm very pleased with how the religion that surfaced in the later decades of that AU is working out, but that's a different story). Am I channelling Smith? It's seeming more and more likely... must do more reading in <url="http://www.livejournal.com/community/soulbonding/">the Soulbonding LJ community... certainly the force and speed with which the character can envelop me is a bit disconcerting (okay, frightening: Smith is a maze of razors and cold lightning and calculations that hurt my mind with their sharp edges)...

Well. The question appears to have been answered. *sweatdrop* I'm almost afraid to state my position on Neo, because I wouldn't want to tread on the toes of he_dreams_awake, whose engagement with the character is so deep and strong. But Neo is definitely present for me, and as strongly as Smith, though with less apparent interest in the outside world.

Any help/input would be appreciated. I mean, all writers go through this. The soulbonding paradigm is just a new way of interpreting it, and one that might have some utility for me. *carefully pokes at the edges of the paradigm, wanting to investigate, but not wanting to provoke an attack...*
