Fucking fibroids.

Today the period cramps are so bad that my eyes are crossing.

Not to mention that I'm bleeding like a stuck pig.

AND Poise has discontinued the menstrual product that I use most often. Yes, their panties were similar to Depends, but more streamlined and comfortable. *screams*

If George teases me with "It's FUN being a girl!" one more time, I'm going to go postal.

ps - at least though once you get the fibriods taken out your periods will be lighter and more normal so you shouldn't need the poise anymore after that... :)

That's the goal, anyway.

I feel like I'm going to float away on the menstrual tide... NOBODY should be able to lose this much blood and stay vertical. :-/

well it's not like your draining any current blood thankfully it was just stored there for a month... if you were actually draining blood out that was vital to your body functioning, then for sure i'd be worried as hell *HUGS*

See, that's not what's happening. Fibroids also lead to the release of fresh blood; this is why women with fibroids often end up anemic. What I'm getting is heavy clotting interspersed with large bursts of fresh-from-the-circulatory-system liquid.

So far it hasn't made me anemic, but it sure makes me feel like shit.

Have you ever tried a menstrual cup? I use a diva cup.

There's no way that a menstrual cup would hold what I'm producing. :-) We're talking half a cup of clots at a time, and gushes of fresh blood.

As it is, I have to change Depends at least three times a day to manage the flow.

I have to cut down on my red meat intake now *grumbles about high cholesterol*, but I'm on a daily multivitamin to keep up my iron intake.

Salsa...? Does that have a lot of iron in it?

Salsa has a lot of iron in it due to the tomatoes. I'm not so sure about red peppers.. I have no idea if they even have iron.

Regarding red meats - have you thought of trying Bison? Supposed to be better than lean beef. I think you can get it at Safeway and Sobey's.
