It's a definite: several members of Westboro Baptist Church snuck into Canada past the border guards. They are now in hiding somewhere in Manitoba.

However, they had their protest signs (which they didn't want the border guards to find) FedExed to them.

*headdesk, headdesk, headdesk*

They're so arrogant they think they can get away with anything. However, the Canadian government has expressly forbidden them entry into our country, and the authorities do NOT take well to being mocked, much less by fanatical disruptive right-wing nutjobs.

The WBC horde is likely to find RCMP swarming up their asses as soon as they stick their heads out of cover (and even before, if the FedEx shipment is tracked). Hopefully they'll be in a jail cell before they have a chance to get within spitting distance of the McLean funeral tomorrow.

Yes, Canada is a bad, bad, scary place. It won't allow you to disrupt the peace and besmirch the dignity of the bereaved with your nonsensical, virulent rage against the rest of the species. OMG, OPRESSUN! Personally, I think these nutters need to be incarcerated whenever they cause a scene. There's not that many of them, and if they're in jail often enough it will cut down on the number of innocent people they can harass. (The level of their loathing and spite towards anyone who doesn't belong to their group is actually unnerving. You know they'd harm people physically, if they could get away with it.)

I'm convinced at this point the only way to end this "church" is to lop off the head of the head ghoul, napalm the entire compound, and then salt the earth it stood on.
