Boy, am I glad I don't live in Green Bay. Yet another example of how the Christian right believe that they have or should have a monopoly on religion and spirituality. I found the study on how adult Americans are increasingly disaffiliating themselves from Christianity, cited in one of the threads, particularly interesting. It would seem that many Christians are beginning to question their faith and become disillusioned by it, and considering the divisive tactics of the Green Bay mayor and council president, who can blame them?

I don't know the study that's being referenced here, but I have to say that it might not be so much a questioning of faith so much as a questioning of the religious structure of "The Church" itself. For myself, and quite a few I've come across on my campus (non-denominational Christian college), that's mostly it. We follow the love, compassion and acceptance side of Christianity, and have a hard time with a lot of what is seen in the modern church. Such as this craziness with the wreath. Honestly, I really can't understand why we can't all coexist, you know?
