The flu shot reaction I've been bitching about appears to be over. Man, was that an unpleasant 24 hours... however, since influenza in diabetics can lead to potentially fatal complications, I really don't have any choice but to get the shot each year. And 24 hours of misery sure beats the several days of suffering that a full-blown case of the flu is certain to produce.

There's a NaNoWriMo Write-In tonight at the Millenium Library, but I don't think I'll be going. I really should be working on HB, and in any case I'm just not in the mood to be sociable.

eastpath stopped by after she got home from work and dropped off a Cadbury Delight chocolate bar for me -- 80% less sugar than their regular Dairy Milk bars and therefore great for a carb-reduced diet. Seeing that little gem perked me up, let me tell you. I think I'll have it later with a cup of hot tea when I sit down to write... gah, I have to produce at least 4000 words to stay on target for the pace I've set for myself.

Just six more pages of HB, and then I can write.
