My word count is at 6085. That's about 2000 words a day when the minimum to meet the deadline is 1667. I'll put up a couple of excerpts once I've transferred the file from our ancient laptop onto the 8600, and from there to the iMac. I also have a fairly detailed plot for the novel (including some character background) up to about the one-third mark.
Tonight is our group's Samhain ritual, three days after October 31st and three days before the actual cross-quarter date on November 6th. I'm all packed to go (since I'm bringing all the ritual equipment to![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
diamond_lies' house, including my mother's ashes). The rice dish I'll be bringing for the feast is cooking away -- nothing fancy, just rice and mixed vegetables. I'll have to stop and pick up some soy sauce on the way; fortunately there's a Safeway right at the head of diamond_lies' street.
