Vomitting all last night... we took him in to the vet this morning, and xrays revealed that he's constipated, as well as being dehydrated. 200 ml of lactated Ringers solution and one tube of Felaxin later, we were out the door, $254 dollars lighter.
I know it's a silly question to ask, but
WHY ARE THEY ALL BREAKING DOWN NOW!?!?!?
Like computers, cats seem to pick the worst possible time to stop working. :-P
So, we'll be administering a Ringers drip twice a day, force-feeding Micawber every 2-3 hours until he starts eating on his own, and be ready at any moment to rush him in to the vet if his condition deteriorates.
I don't know how much more money we can afford to spend on him. If surgery is necessary, that just might be the end of the road. :-(
