We have an apartment! (and I have a cold, plus Emmie)

This afternoon, George and I got a call from the caretaker of the very first apartment we'd seen -- the large Edwardian two-bedroom with the "absolutely no pets" policy in a building where everyone had a cat. Well, now it's about to get two more!

We move at the end of the month, perhaps a couple of days before April 31st. Now we can buckle down to the tasks of finishing Girl Genius (ahhh!) and packing (AHHHH!).

Mini-update on Emmie: the detestible collar has come off and we don't have to apply hot water to her butt any more, so she's a much happier little girl. Good energy level, affectionate, cuddling, eating well... now all we have to do is convince Micawber that she isn't a demon in cat form and everyone will be fine.

Me, I seem to be coming down with the cold or flu that George has had these last few days. Gack, cough, sniffle... I just slept most of the evening away, and will probably go right back to doing so in a few minutes.

Bleah! You're getting a cold. Why does it seem that something painful has to arrive on the heels of something good? Dichotomies...

I'm so glad you found an apartment! Let me know if you need some help with moving or anything, i may be able to accomodate :)
I caught the same cold, it's not a treat is it? I'm convinced the daycare is like germ warfare and i keep losing. Ah well.
I'm glad to hear about Emmie, too! Don't worry, Micawber will come around when he sees she's her old self :)

Thanks for the kind offer, Jill! Though as you can see from my latest post, though, Micawber has done anything BUT come around...

If you could bring our cat carrier back (which I recall loaning you to transport Salem), that would be a tremendous help and a weight off our minds. :-)
