Oh, and Reg has found a new place. He's there tonight, though he might be coming back to stay with us until the end of the month. He's really not so bad a person when he's not drinking, although he still didn't offer to do any chores around the house while he was here and having him in my space was stressful in and of itself.
We'll be sending him to his new place with a couple of bags of groceries to get him started; I hope he's able to behave himself and not start fights with the caretaker this time around. Alcohol is truly a vicious poison in the wrong hands.

Yes, I've seen alcohol/drugs/gambling you name it turn the nicest person into Atila the Hun. The key to their rehab is to fight the root of it, not just stop the behavior.
Reg needs to get into long term treatment from the sounds of it, but you can lead a horse to water as they say....
