The frivolous and the profound

I haven't had a whole lot to feel glad about these last few days, but I discovered Yahoo! Answers this afternoon and yea verily, it is like crack.

I also tried Second Life and couldn't make most of the commands work. Most frustrating.

I did manage to get a few pages of HB flats done.

Also, the Full Moon ritual attendence on Saturday is maxed out at 13 -- if it happens at all. We got word yesterday that one of my sister-in-laws is in hospital, dying of complete liver failure. Her health has been bad for years, and her liver in particular, so it's not like this is a surprise, but still... *sigh* I didn't get along with her very well because she's a born-again Christian who was, I'm sure, secretly convinced that I was sacrificing babies by moonlight, to judge by her attitude toward me. But I'm still very sorry to see her go. No one deserves to die in their early 50's. She's mostly unconscious now, so at least I know she's not suffering, but it's still very hard to think about.

In any event, if she dies in the next couple of days the funeral will probably be on Saturday. And I sure won't be up to running a ritual after going through that.

Any of you Christians out there, I'm sure she'd be happy to be included in your prayers. Her name is Linda, and she's located in Winnipeg, Canada. I don't feel comfortable praying for her myself because I know she wouldn't approve of me speaking to my Gods on her behalf.

*sigh* Prayers are prayers, and God, the Gods, the Powers That Be hear the all, as I believe. I'll add her to my prayers, and may her passing into the West be easy. May her last time on earth be free of pain. I'm sorry.

People are so ignorant, especially of other people's religions, and it irritates me. Oh well...

I also found Second Life to be rather incomprehensible. You're not the only one.
